Evidence, safety and visibility

CCTV for venues where the camera angle matters.

A camera on the ceiling is not the same as useful evidence. We help pubs, bars, restaurants and venues review CCTV around tills, entrances, bars, cellars, beer gardens, stock areas and incident hot spots.

Good venue CCTV starts with incident questions.

Where do disputes happen? Where is cash handled? Which doors matter? Where are staff exposed? Where is stock stored? Which outdoor areas generate complaints? These questions shape camera placement better than simply counting cameras.

Till and bar coverage

Clear views of customer interaction points, cash handling, card terminal area and staff positions.

Entrance, exit and queue areas

Capture useful face and movement detail as people enter, leave or queue.

Cellar, stock and staff-only areas

Support stock control, access rules and incident review in controlled areas.

Outdoor spaces

Beer gardens, smoking areas, garden bars and late-night gathering points.

NVR and storage

Hard drive health, retention period, time/date accuracy and reliable recording.

Remote access

Owner/manager viewing without giving every staff member access to everything.

Integrated with the rest of the venue

CCTV relies on the network. Remote viewing relies on internet. Cameras may need PoE switches. Door entry may need to work alongside video and access control. Hauf an Hauf can connect this to wider ErskineTech services.

The goal is usable footage, not just more cameras.

Before adding cameras, we check whether the existing system records clearly, keeps footage long enough, has correct time/date, and can export footage when needed.

CCTV questions

Can you check an existing recorder?

Yes. We can check hard drive health, retention, time/date, camera status, remote access and export process.

Can CCTV link with door entry?

Yes. Door entry and access control are often part of the same wider venue security plan, especially for staff-only areas, stores, rear doors and controlled entrances.

Can you cover outside areas?

Usually, yes. Outdoor coverage depends on cable routes, power, mounting positions, lighting and weather exposure.
